Round two of the Small Business Together Now fund is closing Today August 31st

 Round two of the Together Now fund is closing on August 31st at 11:59PM. As you know, businesses city-wide are eligible, but the focus will be on awarding grants in community areas that received a disproportionately low number of eligible applicants during the first round, particularly South and West Side communities.

City of Chicago Together Now Fund

The City of Chicago, The Chicago Community Trust and One Chicago Fund have launched the Together Now fund to unite public, private, and philanthropic funds to support immediate small business recovery, as well as long-term equitable growth.

 

Grant Details

The Together Now fund is re-opening for a second round of up to $4,000 operational cost support grants to provide an additional source of funding for these businesses, many of whom have faced a multitude of challenges over the prior months.


Businesses city-wide are eligible, but the focus will be on awarding grants in community areas that received a disproportionately low number of eligible applicants during the first round, particularly South and West Side communities. Please go to the FAQ for eligible types,

 Applications opened on August 21st at 9:00AM and will close on August 31st at 11:59PM.

Eligibility Requirements

The fund is focused on supporting small businesses (100 employees or less at any one location) or not-for-profits in Chicago that have experienced economic losses due to COVID-19 on or after March 1, 2020 (i.e., at least 25% revenue loss)

The following documentation is required for an application to be considered eligible:

o   Articles of Incorporation and Certificates of Good Standing do not meet this requirement

 Only business owners are eligible to apply. Strictly property owners are not eligible. Certain institutions are not eligible (e.g., chain businesses, branch banks, pawn shops) – visit the FAQ section on the Together Now website to see if your business qualifies.
