Women's History Book List for Children by Literacy Nonprofit

In honor of Women’s History Month this March, Reading Partners has highlighted books that feature strong women persisting and being brave no matter the obstacle. Reading Partners knows that the voices of women have not always been at the forefront of history, even though women have always been shaping history.

With that lamentable reality in mind, I am happy to connect you with Reading Partners new CEO, Adeola Whitney on this subject, and as a thought leader on education/literacy-related stories you may be planning as it relates to Women’s History Month. Ola’s viewpoints and vision for Reading Partners are incredibly relevant as the national early literacy nonprofit has pivoted its in-school community volunteer model to online sessions via its Reading Partners Connects program to combat the unprecedented learning loss of the 'COVID Slide'

About Reading Partners

National early literacy nonprofit Reading Partners is a New York Times-endorsed organization that mobilizes volunteer tutors across the country to work one-on-one with awe-inspiring students because they believe in educational equity and that early literacy is the key to success in school and beyond.

Women’s History Book List
Reading Partners challenges parents to read one of these books with their children to create a dialogue celebrating diversity and women’s history.
