Sensing the City

The City of Chicago is about to become the front-runner in the latest “smart cities” trend with its latest innovation: Array of Things. The project is seeking to collect data on air quality, traffic patterns, light patterns, and more by installing over 500 throughout the city. The data will be publically available to all residents of the city, politicians, and researchers, and developers hope the information will be beneficial in creating formable change to our city.
