At The Well Young Women’s Leadership Academy seeks to empower young women locally to become effective leaders globally. By promoting excellence in education, young talent will transform their communities. We encourage girls to live beyond their limitations, achieve beyond their dreams, and impact communities beyond their reach.

At the Well Young Women’s Leadership Academy (ATW) was created out of a commitment to equip young minority women with the essential tools required to aid them in becoming successful leaders. ATW serves scholars entering the eleventh, and twelfth grades of high school that are from diverse social economic backgrounds. ATW seeks to nurture and cultivate tomorrow’s leaders through achieving the following goals. ATW scholars will:
- Increase academic achievement and motivation in school
- Attain higher confidence on standardized tests
- Engage in extracurricular school activities
- Seek opportunities for community service and engagement
Academy Speakers
Speakers from small businesses, educational institutions, and corporations offer motivational and leadership guidance. Stay tuned for a special announcement on the 2017 Academy speakers!
Tuition and Fees
$2,495.00 -Two Week Boarding Program
Tuition and fees include, curriculum, meals, and field trips.
Financial Aid
We are committed to providing need-based assistance to select qualified applicants. We offer a maximum aid package of $500.00. Please indicate the request for financial assistance on the application.

Admission Criteria
Participants are selected on a competitive basis. A qualified application includes the following components:
- Completed online application
- Required release forms (see application)
- Recommendation letter(s)
- 3.0 GPA
- Essay

- Submit recommendation letter
- Essay
- Recent high school transcript
- A 2-page essay on the one of the following topics:
- What person in your community has made a positive impact and discuss how that person inspires you.

Describe two creative activities that could help make your community a better place.
After acceptance to the program, the following documents are required.
- Medical and photo release form
- Immunization record
The essay and required forms can be sent via the email that will be delivered after the application has been processed.
Application deadline: March 31, 2017.
A non-refundable application fee of $50 is required with submission of the form below. Financial aid is not available for the application fee.
