Many of you have heard about The Interrupters, an award-winning documentary about violence intervention in Chicago through the work of a non-profit called CeaseFire. It will be broadcast on PBS Frontline on Tuesday, February 14th (check local listings for time): http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/interrupters/.
You'll learn a lot and be inspired by the work that main characters, Cobe Williams, Ameena Matthews, and Eddie Bocanegra, do every day in their communities to interrupt the spread of violence.
