Calling all Owner-Occupant Landlords!

Do you live in a small rental building you own in Chicago? Join a research study about what it's like to own a rental property! Just one interview is required to participate and receive a $45 cash stipend.

What is the study about? 

The purpose of the study is to learn what it's like to live-in and own a small rental building in the city of Chicago. I am interested in hearing about your experiences. 

How does it work? 

Interviews take place over video chat or telephone, depending on your preference. Each interview lasts about 1 to 2 hours, and is completely confidential. Only one interview is required and pays $45 as a gesture of thanks for your time.

Who is conducting this study? 

My name is Allison Helmuth and I'm a resident of Chicago and doctoral student in sociology at University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC). This study has been approved by the Institutional Review Board IRB#2018-0750.
