"Claiming the Wisdom of Our Faith Traditions: Shaping a Faith-Rooted Movement to Foster Resilience and Prevent Childhood Trauma" Workshop

This day offers an opportunity for faith leaders--both clergy and lay--to learn more about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) across a spectrum of traumatic experience--from abuse and neglect to community violence and war.  We will learn about the impact these experiences have on brain and genetic functioning, how to foster resilience in both the individual and across communities, and how to prevent adversity in childhood in the first place.  We will also explore how love, spirit, and meaning can heal and restore our bodies and minds.  Download the flyer.

This is a working conference and space is limited. The goal of the day is to lay groundwork for a plan for work that can be carried out across religious traditions and that is connected to efforts in other sectors, such as health care, schools, community programs, etc. We will also hear about how we can connect with the national Trauma Informed Congregations Network (TiCong).

Registration is $25, but scholarships are available and no one should let the fee stop them from attending. Just let us know if you need assistance.  To register, go tohttps://ha.advocatehealth.com/class/Classcode/CG11 or contact Olga at 630-929-6108or olga.wegehaupt@advocatehealth.com.
