About FootWorks Dance Studio

A Modern Dance curriculum inspired by African American Masters such as
Katherine Dunham, Alvin Ailey and Jewell McLaurin.  Our students enjoy a fun,
family atmosphere and receive personal attention. Our choreography and
costuming is always mindful of the youthfulness of our dancers.  We are dedicated
to provide students fundamental and advanced dance skills that remain true to our
art.
Classes Offered (Class placement is determined by age and skill level):

| |
 | BEGINNERS ages 5-6

The Beginners class starts children off with basic movements
concentrating on developing the large muscle groups.  Students dance
to basic rhythms as they learn ballet technique and terminology.

| |
 | BEGINNERS TO INTERMEDIATE ages 7-10

Students continue ballet basics that extend to modern dance
techniques.  An introduction to Graham technique begins here.

The same techniques are explored in this class with increased difficulty
due to the age difference.
