Bring Economic Security To Working People In Auburn Gresham!

Ever wished there was something you could do to help working families get ahead financially? Do you believe that when neighbors help neighbors whole communities can be lifted? Join us! Center for Economic Progress is looking for volunteers to work one-on-one providing tax and financial services for income-eligible households.

Everything we do is made possible or made better, thanks to our volunteers. We need your dedication, skill, and passion for our team of nearly 900 volunteers who deliver high-quality tax preparation to working people and families totally free of charge.

Why Volunteer With Center for Economic Progress?

*Gain powerful new skills: all training provided, no experience necessary

All the training you need is online and can be done at your own pace. We make it so anyone, regardless of experience level, can serve at a tax site. Plus, the valuable skills you walk away will contribute to your professional growth; volunteers often list their service with CEP on resumes and job applications and we’re happy to verify your service with a potential employer.

*Multiple locations, flexible scheduling

During the tax season, we are in over 15 communities and tax sites offer both evening and weekend hours. You can make an impact in your community in as little as one shift per week from February to April.

*Be part of an experienced team that makes a real impact

Center for Economic Progress tax volunteers have been creating change for over 25 years, serving tens of thousands of families around Illinois and returning over half a billion dollars to working people.
