The annual 79th Street Renaissance Festival is one of the longest running neighborhood festivals in Auburn Gresham. Each year promises to be bigger and better than the last. With nearly 15,000 attendees coming out annually to enjoy local food, retailers, organizations, and performers from all genres from cultural to modern dance and blues to hip hop, there is literally something for everyone.

Save the date for the 12th Annual 79th Street Renaissance Festival on Saturday, September 9, 2017 and Sunday, September 10, 2017, 10:00am to 7:00pm on 79th Street between Racine and Loomis. You heard the talk of multiple days in 2017, it was true!

Remember that the Annual 79th Street Renaissance Festival is an opportunity for us to not only showcase our community and have a great time, it's also an opportunity to shop responsibly and locally on the southside of chicago and to support the hard working, small businessmen and women who particpate each year. So, while you're enjoying the games, the music, and the fun - don't forget to buy a few things from the local southside vendors. As part of the festival, in partnership with SSA #32 and the City of Chicago, we are encouraging all to support a local business and "Shop South!"
