Soul Vegan and Hip Hop is Green are proud to announce The Chicago Ready to Live Weekend!! The purpose of the Ready to Live weekend is to collaboratively combat sickness, death and violence in our communities via Health & Wellness events. We believe that with the current times we need to come together and bring health and harmony to our community.
Established in 2009, the Hip Hop Green Dinner is a National Health Initiative that are set in urban communities and designed to introduce new people especially youth, to delicious, healthy vegan food. Invited are top National speakers and performance artists in the health and food justice movement. The Hip Hop Green Dinners help youth make the connection between their diet, lifestyle and their health. This FREE dinner features food by Chicago Style Vegan, Soul Vegan and Healthy Creations, performances by the Hip Hop is Green Team and a special appearance by Chicago’s own Dr. Terry Mason. 10th Element of Hip Hop Health & Wellness Tour

Soul Vegan is leading the effort to promote healthy lifestyle choices at the 2nd annual, Taste of Vegan: Health and Wellness Festival. Many communities continue to disproportionately lead in the high rate of illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, obesity, and hypertension. The time has come for us take responsibility for the impact our diet and lifestyle has on our communities’ mental and physical well-being. The Taste of Vegan, Health and Wellness Festival presents the opportunity for us to do just that! This collective celebration will empower our friends, neighbors and children with the information necessary to take control of their health, mental and physical wellness, our environment and our communities’ overall well-being. This FREE festival features food by Soul Vegan, chef demo by Chicago’s own Ale’jandro Flenorl, a special Peace Diet presentation by Zarakyah Ahmadiel and entertainment by Papa George and Kwest-on.
