Find something new to do this summer! Be part of Chicago City of Learning’s FREE biannual festival of doing and making, where young people and the adults who care about them can explore citywide opportunities. Beginning at Noon, in the Maker Party filled with hands-on activities, youth can sample programs to meet every interest, including art, nature, design, gaming, building, robotics, aeronautics, forensics and more. At 12:30 a special opportunity for middle school girls will be presented by Digital Youth Divas, a program connecting technology to fashion and dance. The Teen-Only Lounge, curated by CCOL’s Youth Council and beginning at 1:00, will feature everything from computer science to Open Mic! Participants of UpwithChi Spring it Out, to be held at Jones College Prep on April 23, can earn digital badges and win prizes like MLB tickets and iPad Minis.
