Perspectives Charter School Holds A Powerful Peace March, Student Leadership in Action

Last Friday morning, June 1, 2018 students at Perspectives led their 5th Annual Peace March with nearly 2,000 participants strong. Our students were joined by staff, parents, friends, community leaders, and corporate partners to unify for a peaceful summer.  

Our students led with passion and certainty as they rallied the community to stand for peace.

On the 87th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and St. Bernard Hospital held its 19th annual celebration honoring the life and legacy of the civil rights champion. This year’s honoree, Michael Tidmore, is a restorative justice advocate in Englewood, who has become an example to at-risk youth that they can turn their lives around.

On Friday, June 5th, nearly 3,000 Perspectives students, family members, staff, and community leaders held one of the largest student-led peace marches in the city's history.
