Introducing Social Services New Director For Auburn Gresham

Effective July 1, 2015, Kelwin Harris became the new Director of Social Services. Kelwin replaces Sharon Tillmon who has been promoted to Director of Catholic Charities Emergency Assistance Department Auburn Gresham Community. Kelwin graduated from St. Sabina Academy (Class of 91). he received his High School Diploma in 1996 from The Francis W. Parker School in Lincoln Park. Since early in life, Kelwin has been active in church ministry and causes. He served for numerous years on the altar has been a member of The Armor Bearers Ministry and is currently a Team Leader in Fr. Pfleger's Social Justice Class. In his professional life, Kelwin has worked as an assistant to Mayor Daley, been Executive Director of The Beloved Community and manager with the St. Sabina Employment Resource Center before assuming the role of Director of Social Services. Kelwin received his Bachelor Degree in city and regional planning from Cornell University and his Masters in Urban Planning from Harvard University. He currently resides in the Auburn Gresham Community.
