The Greater Grand Crossing Health Fair

July 25, 2013 — THE Greater Grand Crossing Health Fair was held, July 24th, and was hosted by the Holistic Health group of the Parent Program, a segment of the Community Violence Prevention Program (CVPP). More than eighty people attended, receiving information about healthy living and innovative community initiatives to curb unhealthy living. There were six stations at the event, ranging from a station that hosted natural products, called Phoenix Spa, to panels that provided information on dental care, mental health counseling, and CountyCare. Also, the patrons of the event  provided water, and free products, such as toothbrushes, snacks, and ice cold to accommodate all attendees. The event seemed to go off without a hitch!

One of the six stations at the fair was a natural product company called Phoenix Spa, a company that sells all-natural lotions, oils, sugar scrubs, and more.
