Mr. Dad's Fathers Club Presents Parent Workshops (2021 - 2022)

The Mr. Dad's Fathers Club is back and hosting it’s annual Parent Workshops. This year we are offering a variety of parent workshops that we believe will help build our parents and children for success:

  • Workshop #1, Parent Leadership

What is Parent Leadership?

Parent Leadership is a strengths-based approach to family support founded on the belief that parents are most knowledgeable about their families and communities. They can provide valuable insight into programs and community efforts that will benefit all children and families.

This Parent Leadership Training seeks to enable parents to become leading advocates for children.

  • Workshop #2, Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) consists of educating parents of the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions (including anxiety & depression), set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others,  and establish and maintain positive relationships.

  • Workshop #3, Health and Wellness

Nutrition is about eating a healthy and balanced diet. Food and drink provide the energy and nutrients you need to be healthy. Understanding these nutrition terms may make it easier for you to make better food choices.
