Funds awarded to develop app targeting teen pregnancy

The University of Chicago’s Center for Interdisciplinary Inquiry and Innovation (Ci3) in Sexual and Reproductive Health was given funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
These The first part of the project will develop and test the first app and toolkit for African-American teen girls in the Englewood community.
The project will be led by Dr. Melissa Gilliam, Ci3’s founder and director. The project is in partnership with Resilient Games Studio and Access Community Health Network’s Center for Discovery and Learning, an NIH-funded, community-based research center.
The first part of the project will develop and test the first app and toolkit for African-American teen girls in the Englewood community.
