Businesses on a Mission: A Community Uplift Quest

Kashema Pearson, a graduate student at Columbia College Chicago, has partnered with MOVE Chicago Forward and the Chicago Urban League to produce “Businesses on a Mission: A Community Uplift Quest.” This event is a boot camp introducing and discussing concepts aimed to address the needs of our surrounding communities through social enterprise. Attendees will gain a basic understanding of the structure and benefits of social enterprise in Illinois, funding types and sources, and practical examples from real leaders on how to create and sustain their own business that serves a meaningful purpose.  All nonprofits and for-profit organizations and aspiring entrepreneurs are welcome! The cost is only $10!
