Auburn Gresham Safety Net Works Program and the Neighborhood Recovery Initiative, is proud to host the 16th District Peace Essay Contest that presents our community's youth to showcase their unique abilities while making their voices heard. There is also a Visual Art, Spoken Word and Poetry contest.
Poetry component of the contest.
- The contest is open to 7th-12th graders.
- Essays are a maximum of 500 words in length and submissions
- Due on Friday, March 2nd.
- The top ten finalize will be featured in a documentary that would be aired on Friday, March 16th, 2012
- Finalists will be announced and wining entries will be showcased at a special community program on Friday, March 16, 2012.
